EAA check – accessibility of products and services (accessibility)
Using the online EAA check tool on this page, you can find out whether your products and services are subject to obligations under the European Accessibility Act (EAA).
The European Accessibility Act (EAA) (external link) is Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council, which sets out requirements for the accessibility of selected products and services in order to ensure equal access to them for persons with disabilities.
The EAA check provides an indicative assessment of who these obligations apply to and the extent to which compliance with the accessibility requirements needs to be ensured. The directive applies across the EU from , through each member state's own national transposition law – for example, Slovak Act No. 351/2022 Coll. on the accessibility of products and services for persons with disabilities (external link). As this check is presented in English, it refers directly to the articles of the directive itself rather than to any single national transposition law.
The result of the EAA check is for information purposes only and does not constitute a legally binding assessment.
